Come join YLD and Moishe House for a Summer Kick-Off BBQ held at Moishe House on Wednesday, June 24th at 6 pm. We'll provide most of the food, but please bring something small to share with everyone else. This will be a great chance to mingle and meet some young Jews in the East Bay. Join us for a catered, vegetarian Shabbat meal. Child supervision provided by Afterschool Program staff. Songs and short prayers followed by dinner and playing. Temple Sinai 20’s & 30’s Camping and Havdallah at Anthony Chabot Regional Park
As we usher in the summer season, Temple Sinai's 20s and 30s Group ushers in the outdoors! Join us as we spend the day exploring Anthony Chabot Regional Park, only 20 minutes from Downtown Oakland. At sundown we'll share in a short Havdallah service under the stars! The fee for the campsite is $25 ($35 for non Temple Sinai members). Join us as we celebrate with the residents of a homeless shelter in Berkeley. All the birthdays are announced for the month and the residents collect a special present - this may be the first gift in many years that the birthday recipient receives. It is time to gear up and start planning the biggest East Bay Jewish community event of the year, PicnicFest. The 6th Annual PicnicFest will take place on Sunday, September 13th. Last year we had well over 1,500 Jews come out for a FREE afternoon of beer, ice cream., music, children’s activities and community building.
